000off_WHAT_AFRIKA HITECH MO’WAX

Out in the streets… they call it the WHAT_afrika hitech shoe. Your foot can be resolved in terms of triangles. What started out as a shoe design for a musician, Spacek, ended up as a broader review of cross-disciplinary creativity. Music talked about design so we started thinking about talking about building… which is WHAT_Trapp designer tv talk back filmed in the former Shoreditch Station. Think Mo’ Building!

000off_Now that’s what I call RRRchitecture. MELBOURNE’S 102.7FM says what!?

SketchUp. It’s not but it could be! H5 for Sinema’s In My Eyes (though given the YouTube’s current sound feed it’s more like In Your Ears. So better you turn the sound off until we replace the sound with…!?)

000off_COULD ARCHITECTURE BE AS PLURALIST AS ELECTRONIC MUSIC?

The movie features a Novation Launchpad and a Zero SL MkII controlling Madeon’s Ableton session which comprises clips of 39 different songs in 3minutes! Imagine if architecture could segue so many references, so literally in one building! With the diverse eclectic aesthetic of post-modernism, architecture rediscovered the expressive morphology that had evolved through centuries of building; a cut-copy pluralism that modernism abandoned.

000off_iGOd: FROM CHURCH TO RADIO STATION

Due to a dwindling congregation, a low density inner city church in Auckland has been sold off to release funds through the sale of the property to developers. In a moment of devine inspiration, the The Methodist Church of New Zealand has decided that a better use of capital would be to sell the church building (designed for a parish of thousands yet only used by a few dozen) and buy a radio station, thereby expanding its potential listeners from an an urban to a nationwide audience.
